EVENTS

LEMONAID

Friday the 13th of July wasn’t so unlucky around here. We hosted our annual LemonAid stand to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network and enjoyed visiting with clients, neighbors, and passersby. We hope you came by and enjoyed a cool glass of refreshment while supporting a worthy cause. Read full article.

CREATEATHON

On September 13th, beginning at 9:00 AM, we will be working 24-hours straight on pro-bono projects for a variety of local non-profits. Some of the partners who are supporting us as we work are:
Mojo’s (official PUNCH lunch provider)
Jean Jacques BakeryCrossroads
Richmond.comThe Common Cup
American Massage Therapists Association-Richmond Unit
The more, the merrier! If you’d like to be a part
of CreateAthon, call or email Maureen.
Every little bit helps!

THE WINNERS ARE

We are happy to announce our CreateAthon winners for 2007. They are: RX Partnership, Homeward, Community Based Services, FURS, Chesterfield CASA, Comfort Zone Camp, and the Central Virginia Food Bank.
We plan to crank out some great design for
them during our workathon this week. More information about them is available by logging onto our website at www.theartofimpact.com.

COMMUNITY

QUEST FOR THE CURE

On June 30th, Charlie, Cassandra, Sarah Shannon, and Rich represented PUNCH at Anthem’s scavenger hunt fundraiser. We almost won, but realized while hoisting a glass in celebration, that nobody else but us knew we’d solved the puzzle. We raced to the judges’ table 2 minutes too late to claim bragging rights. We DID win a sweet trophy, though, and feel good about raising $15,000 for Connor’s Heroes and other groups that support kids fighting cancer and their families. Check out the details on our website Read full article.

NEW RECRUITS

If you haven’t already met Rich and Devon, we hope you will soon. Rich Trevillian is a graphic designer extraordinaire and has hit the ground running at PUNCH and already pulled an all-nighter. He’s just returned to Richmond after exploring out west for the last 15 years. We’re glad he’s back in town. Devon Hoff is our new, much needed account executive and she’s a great copywriter to boot. She just moved to Richmond from California this summer. She keeps us all hopping and on deadline. We don’t know what we did without her. Feel free to stop in to meet either or both of them. We love visitors.

Because of CreateAthon, we will be largely unavailable on September 13th and we’ll be closed on September 14th. If there is such a thing as a “design emergency”, and you’re having one, we’ll figure out a way to save the day. If you anticipate needing something in mid September, let us know as soon as possible so we can avoid panic.

KEN GIBSON

You already know that Ken does great work for PUNCH’s clients and we know that he can fix any computer or technical problem that vexes us, but did you also know that he is a master carpenter? Ken is thrilled to welcome his first grandchild and showed his love by creating this gorgeous cradle. We are amazed and awed by his workmanship.
