PUNCH’s LemonAid is Sweet!

The PUNCH team spent Friday, July 13th, hosting one of the 700 LemonAid stands across the state in support of Children’s Miracle Network.  Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield was a major sponsor of this event along with Provident Bank, Country Time Lemonade, Long and Foster Realtors, and the Richmond-Times Dispatch. Over $74,000 was raised across the state.

CMN is proud that 100% of the money raised is used locally and here in Richmond. Monies raised support the 150,000 children served by Children’s Hospital and VCU Children’s Medical Center each year.

Charlie Connell, Managing Partner at PUNCH says, “We support Children’s Miracle Network in many ways all year and really enjoy our annual LemonAid stand. In addition to supporting the kids, we see our stand as an opportunity to connect with our neighbors here on Main Street, and spend a little relaxed time together as co-workers. We raised quite a bit of money for CMN and consider the time spent as a good investment.”

Designer, Sarah Shannon, was instrumental in making PUNCH’s second LemonAid stand an eye-popping success.  Besides our gorgeous stand, we had a giant lemon, a “zest-girl,” and even included our families in the project.  Spouses, pets, and adorable children manned the stand, flagged down motorists, and otherwise helped make the day as enjoyable as any street festival.  No doubt, with Sarah leading the way, we will outdo ourselves again next year.
