PUNCH is Really Cookin’

Design firm, PUNCH, has created the design for this year’s Kids in the Kitchen cookbook, which is sponsored by the Junior League of Richmond. The books will be presented at this year’s event scheduled for March 7, 2009 at the Science Museum of Virginia. The event runs from 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. and organizers are expecting over 650 guests.
Kelly Adams, managing partner at PUNCH, says, “Educating children and adults about a healthy diet is so important to families and to our community. We are proud to provide our design expertise for this worthy project. Our hats are off to the Junior League for realizing the importance of good design in order to engage young people. We hope this book becomes a well-worn treasure for the families who receive it.”
The aim of the Junior League’s national initiative is to empower youth to make healthy lifestyle choices and help reverse the growth of childhood obesity and its associated health risks. The Richmond chapter hopes the book will also encourage families to cook and spend quality time together. The Kids in the Kitchen initiative is part of the Junior League’s national program, which began in 2006. Junior Leagues in more than 255 locations participate in the initiative.
