Operation Community Kindness

The designers at PUNCH have created the art for a calendar that highlights local businesses and non-profit groups and their signature events. The 2009 calendar is part of a larger campaign called “Operation Community Kindness,” sponsored by Spotlight Richmond. The campaign seeks to celebrate the Richmond community and the many ways in which we take care of each other. Each month of the calendar will feature a special event or fundraiser. The art created by PUNCH designers will reflect their unique perspective on kindness in the community. The wall calendar will be sold at Ukrop’s stores and at community events beginning this fall.

Kelly Adams, managing partner at PUNCH, says, “We donate work for non-profits every year and participate in dozens of events in the community. Creating this calendar turned out to be a labor of love for our designers. We let them choose whom they really wanted to create art for. Luckily, everyone was able to work for groups that they were passionate about. Richmond is a special city and there are so many people doing amazing things to make it a better place. We consider ourselves lucky to be selected for this project.”
