OIC | BRIARPATCH:  ONE, TWO, “PUNCH”

Kelly Adams, founder of OIC Design, and Charlie Connell, founder of Briarpatch Productions, first entered the ring in January 2004, joining forces to become OIC | Briarpatch, LLC.  Today, the Richmond-based marketing powerhouse is ready to take on the world with a new name:  PUNCH.

“Marketing is all about impact,” said PUNCH partner Kelly Adams. “Our charge is to get people’s attention on behalf of our clients. Now, our name is really a literal translation of our end product.”

“When Kelly and I merged last year, we knew we had the kind of energy you don’t find in other design firms,” said Connell.  “PUNCH not only describes our culture – it makes a promise to our clients that we’re going to get them noticed.”

Briarpatch Productions, formed in 1992, and OIC Design, formed in 2000, combined their strengths to improve customer relationships and services to new and existing clients.  The company name change from OIC | Briarpatch to PUNCH emerged from brainstorming sessions with the entire staff. 

PUNCH specializes in print advertising and design, corporate identity and branding, multimedia design and illustration, as well as media planning.
