LemonAid, Part II

PUNCH’s head-turning lemonade stand was a rousing success.  PUNCH staff designed and created an amazing stand that had traffic on Main Street backed up as passersby stared with mouths agape.  (No accidents were reported, thankfully.) We all had a fun day, visiting with our friends and neighbors as they sipped a cold drink on what was a scorching summer day. In the process, we raised a nice chunk of change for Children’s Miracle Network.  We got such an enthusiastic response about our project that we hope to win a prize.  Check out our pictures and see if you don’t agree that we created the best-looking lemonade stand in the history of lemonade stands.

In addition to our awesome staff, we included most of our children in a shameless ploy to knock off a bit at work, show off our beautiful kids and lure more folks to our stand to support our worthy cause.  It worked!  We did a brisk business all day long.  If you were one of the few who missed us on July 14, be assured that we plan on participating next year as well.  We promise it will be worth the wait!

Anthem sponsored this weekend long event throughout central Virginia to benefit Children’s Miracle Network.  Proceeds are used locally and here in Richmond, the Richmond Children’s Hospital and VCU Children’s Medical Center benefited from this grassroots fundraiser.  If you’d like more information, log onto http://www.childrensmiraclenetwork.net
