The Eagle Has Landed

On June 10th, Team PUNCH entered a foursome to play in the West End WAVES Fastpitch Softball Team’s Annual Golf Tournament. Sure, it was 100° in the shade, but we still had a blast!

Team PUNCH featured Charlie, the double-breaking-putt-making extraordinaire; Jimmy, winner of both long drive competitions (he drove a 360-yard par 4 to within four feet for an easy eagle); Brian, who hit the SHOT OF THE DAY (one revolution short of a hole-in-one on a PAR 4); and Michael, who rattled the pin from 100 yards away for an almost unheard of third eagle on a par 4 on the front nine.

Team PUNCH’s 15-under-par score was good enough for 1st Place in the Captain’s Choice tournament! After the round we enjoyed food, laughs, and an awards ceremony. What a great day! All of the proceeds went to the WAVES to help with fastpitch softball tournament entry fees and operating expenses.

Next year, Team PUNCH plans to defend our title whether it’s 100° out there or not!
