First-ever PUNCH Hat Contest!

So we set last Friday up as the first-ever PUNCH Hat Contest. We here at PUNCH love competition—it seems to help our creative spirit. As you can see in the photo, everyone is having a swell time showing off their crazy and wacky hats. Charlie even decided to add some delivered pizza and tasty beer to the mix. We were having so much fun eating pizza and swilling beer, that some if us forgot all about the hat contest! Thank goodness Heidi remembered. Oh, the laughs we all had.

Jill wore a camouflage cap with headlights.
Mike wore his green golf cap.
Angeline wore her Carly Simon hippy hat.
Dave wore his outlandish Gilligan’s Island meets Beverly Hillbillies straw hat.
I wore my “sweet” hand-made with duct-tape Sweets Cigarillo hat.
Heidi wore a black hat of some kind.
Amy wore her black Zorro hat from her days of being a teen Zorro fanatic.
Erin wore her uber-awesome Krispy Kreme paper sailor cap.
Dinah wore her famous Mardi Gras on acid hat!
Charlie wore his illegal contraband Russian Commie cap.
Rich wore his grandfather’s vintage Shriner’s cap—complete with go-kart skid marks on the side.
Ken wore his out-of-this-world beige fedora fishing hat.
Sarah wore some kind of mini top hat.
I can’t remember what Lauren was wearing. Did she wear a hat?
And how can we forget Rebekah’s super insane blue baseball cap!

Things got a bit tense—who would the winner be!? Soon we found out that the winner was…Rich! He won by one single vote over Dinah. The much-anticipated grand prize was two gift certificates to Sweet Frog! Rich was a true gentleman and gave one of them to Dinah. It was kind of awkward when Dinah went over to Rich and gave him a hug and a peck on the cheek.

So faithful readers—that was it in a nutshell. What will we think of next? Would a belt buckle contest be too awkward? Funny shoes? No, Sarah would easily win that. Strange hairstyles?
