Be. Think. Do.

Here at the PUNCH blog we’ve created three categories that just about any topic will fit into, “Be. Think. Do.”  This has gotten me thinking about how almost every moment of our lives can fit into one of these categories.

This weekend I was fortunate to take part in the ASK Fun Walk/Run benefiting kids with cancer. One of my children has created a club that has chosen to sponsor ASK, a Richmond organization making lives better for kids with cancer. My son’s club, Big Brothers Rock, is pretty much all kid generated, from concept through to each activity the club does.  What I’m really enjoying is watching these 8-year-old kids figure out what they want their club to BE. See them THINK about how to make it happen.  And then DO what needs to be done to make it successful.

The ASK Fun Walk was a great event this weekend. Mix103.7 was there, along with a full marching band to get the crowd excited. A great band performed on stage for the three-hour family activity event. There was everything any kid would want—from cotton candy to beautiful parrots they could have sit on their shoulder. In all, the event raised $90,000 for kids with cancer!

I’m thrilled to see that on any given day, we all have this opportunity to Be. Think. Do.  How will you use it today?
